Newsletter

If you sign up on the Writing page, I collect your email address. Netlify, the company that hosts this site, stores the sign-up for me. I use your address for one thing, sending you new essays, and I send them from my own email with every subscriber’s address hidden from the others. Reply to any essay or email me to unsubscribe, and your address is removed.

Booking a call

The calendar on the Book a Call page is Google Calendar’s appointment page. When you book, Google collects your name, email address and anything you type in the booking form, and handles it under Google’s privacy policy. I keep the booking in my calendar and email for as long as we’re in contact, and delete it if you ask.

Emails you send me

If you email me, your message stays in my inbox for as long as we’re in contact. Ask and I’ll delete it.

Visit statistics

Netlify Analytics counts page visits from the site’s server logs. It sets no cookies, doesn’t follow you to other websites and doesn’t build an advertising profile. It tells me which pages get read, not who read them.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. The Google calendar on the Book a Call page only loads when you click “Show available times”, and may then set Google’s cookies.

Where it’s stored

Netlify and Google store information on servers that may be outside Canada, including in the United States.

What I don’t do

I don’t sell your information, share it with anyone for marketing, or use it for advertising.

Your information, your call

You can ask what I hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Email jarvis.ca.cr@gmail.com and I’ll respond within 30 days.
